*The following is a letter to a person named Annette. Written in 1979,  December 27th.
This is the last known letter written by Joy Adamson before she was brutally
and viciously murdered on the 3rd of January 1980 by an employee discharged for theft.

The world lost a valuable, productive person who devoted herself to the cause of
conservation. The animals lost an avid spokesperson when she was murdered.

IN MEMORY OF JOY ADAMSON....
A great conservationist, superbly talented artist and writer and
an exceedingly generous contributor to the cause of wildlife conservation.
Joy Adamson should be remembered for her dedicated work for wildlife
and the generosity she showed by donating the vast majority of her earnings
to help wildlife and preserve their habitat.
